Survey says...

Well, Matt and I are busy trying to figure out times for the actual ceremony / reception. One large variable that we need to sort out is the amount of time needed for formal wedding photos. I've never stood up in a wedding, so I don't know how long this process will take. I'd rather not leave our guests to their own devices for 4 hours, while we shutter away. But I also don't want to feel rushed, or feel that I need to cut out some pics in order to make it to the ceremony on time. We were thinking of having some pics taken before the ceremony, but save the ones with both of us until after. Additionally, neither one of us is too interested in waking up at 7am to get ready. Sigh...what's a girl to do?
Those of you who are married, or who have hung around during photo shoots...how long did this take?

You should talk to Jen who has been in the most wedding parties of anyone I know about how long wedding photos take. The camera man shuld be able to give the time needed
You will of course both look lovely in any photo BUT on the other hand:
It'll be that much harder to pick the one u like if there are hundreds to choose from. If there is only the crosseyed one & the tongue hanging out one , then you save time

Mom is soooo helpful!

When I was in a wedding party, their photos took 2 hours and they did them mostly before the ceremony. Only the family photos were done between the ceremony and the dinner.

But the ceremoney and the dinner were at the same place, and people just drank their cocktails for the maybe half hour while the family shots were taken.

But there weren't all that many family shots anyway. They were happy with that.

Your situation might be different. Depends on how many photos you want ME to be in: I know the answer is MOST of them, so you might wanna have the photos taken inbetween.

Seriously, family photos should be taken inbetween because that's the only way you'll get everyone together, I think.

I'll take the one with the tongue hanging out.
